ICC T20 World Cup: Eoin Morgan picks India as favourites to win WC says,’ Team India have all bases covered’ – England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan picked Virat Kohli’s Team India as his favourites to win the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Morgan feels that India has depth in their squad and have all bases covered. The ICC T20 World Cup is slated to be played in Oman and UAE from October 17.
“India are going to go into the World Cup as favourites – and I think it is justified. They are a really strong team, they have a lot of depth in their squad as well and have all bases covered. We’re on a different journey at the moment than we were going into the 2019 50-over World Cup,” Eoin Morgan was quoted as saying in ICC’s media release.
India have been clubbed with Babar Azam’s Pakistan in Group 2 of Super 12 in the ICC T20 World Cup. Kane Williamson’s New Zealand and Afghanistan are the other teams in the group. Meanwhile, Australia and England are in a group of death (Group 1) alongside West Indies and South Africa apart from two qualifiers.

Earlier, India captain Virat Kohli had said that England will be a tough team to beat in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
“England will be the team to beat. They’re the number one side in the world and the prime focus will be on them. All other teams will be wary of the strengths they bring to the park. Every other team will agree with me,” Virat Kohli stated.
