Spanish rural operators slam conditions of 700 MHz tender

Spain's National Association of Local Telecommunications Operators (Aotec) has slammed the coverage conditions of the government's imminent tender of 5G frequencies in the 700 MHz band, reports website Xataka Movil. In a complaint submitted to communications regulator CNMC, Aotec said the tender breaches the provisions of Spain's market unity and telecommunications laws and discriminates a good part of the population, in that it totally excludes alternative operators.
