A citizen of Ivory Coast has been arrested from Delhi for duping a woman from Hyderabad in Telangana of Rs 41 lakh in the name of buying herbal medicine formulas.

According to the police, he had offered Rs 5 crore to buy medicine and formula.
In a release, Hyderabad Police quoted the complainant as saying that James Mario of Britain was in touch with the woman through online mode for the last two years, recently asked the complainant to sell medicines and formulas in his country.
Mario told the complainant that he had remitted Rs 5 crore through international wire transfer, the release said. Meanwhile, some people, claiming to be related to RBI-Delhi and Customs department, asked the woman to pay tax on the transfer of Rs 5 crore and she transferred a total of Rs 41 lakh to the bank accounts given by her.
