Email deliverability firm Emailable has acquired DataValidation, an email validation service. Terms were not disclosed.
The purchase “enables us to accelerate our growth at a more rapid pace while doubling in size," states Sean Heilweil, Emailable CEO.
The combined firms will provide sales and marketing teams with email validation and verification tools.
The DataValidation team will remain in place during the transitionary period, and Mike Marian, CEO of DataValidation, will serve as an advisor going forward.
Existing DataValidation customers will have access to both firms’ infrastructure and strategies within the next month. And Emailable will work on consolidating the infrastructure and strategies of both over the next year.
DataValidation was founded in 2007. It now has over 170,000 customers worldwide.
Emailable is a relatively new name.
In March, email verification providers Blaze Verify and TheChecker were rebranded as Emailable. following their merger. Blaze Verify owner Cache Ventures announced it had acquired TheChecker in January.

The rebranding was unusual in that it the new name actually refers to email.
Emailable offers “automated email verification,” said Chief Product Officer Bernardo Rocha at the time of the merger.
The company is headquartered in New York and has offices in Miami, Los Angeles, and São Paulo.
