Korea's LG Uplus and Japan's KDDI partner on 5G, 6G services development

South Korean operator LG Uplus has signed a memorandum of understanding with Japanese mobile carrier KDDI to find new business applications for 5G network technology and boost cooperation to prepare for future 6G networks, Yonhap news agency reports. LG Uplus and KDDI plan to share their 5G network technology and services, as well as find more applications of the latest generation network, LG Uplus said in a statement. LG Uplus and KDDI also plan to jointly develop 6G services and aim to establish international standards for the next generation network.
