Telefonica-KKR Chilean wholesale fibre unit launches operations

Chile's first open access wholesale fibre-optic company has launched operations just a few weeks after the country's antitrust authority approved the acquisition by global investment firm KKR of a 60 percent in Telefonica's local fibre network. The company is called On Net Fibra and it intends to build, operate and sell fibre-optic infrastructure as well as providing wholesale services to all current and future telecom operators.
