World & National Plastic Surgery Day celebrated at SGRD University

AMRITSAR: World and National Plastic Surgery Day was celebrated at Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences here on Thursday. Giving details Dr. AP Singh, Dean Dean Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research said that a state-of-art advanced wound care center was dealing with all complex and neglected wound like diabetic foot ulcer, bed sore, lymphedema, leg ulcers etc.


On the occasion, Dr. Daljit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, SGRD University said that everybody thinks plastic surgery was about tummy tucks and cosmetic surgery, but in reality, they were involved in trauma reconstruction, cancer reconstruction, treating nerve injuries, correcting congenital anomalies, and treating burns victims, they also treat cleft lip, post trauma defects, post bone contracture and twisted necks.
