In a tweet, Ola Electric said,"It’s day 1 of the revolution, the day we’ve all been eagerly waiting for! The Ola Electric Scooter can now be reserved at just Rs. 499."
Ola Group CEO Bhavish Aggarwal had said that Ola will soon commence the production of electric scooters at its factory in Tamil Nadu.
"Almost there! Scooter production to begin soon! Get on the waitlist and #JoinTheRevolution," Aggarwal had tweeted.
He also shared a video showcasing the progress in construction of the factory.
Last month, Aggarwal had said the first phase of Ola's electric scooter factory is nearing completion. Ola had announced a Rs 2,400-crore investment last year for setting up its first electric scooter factory in Tamil Nadu.
