After delays, Kings Island's $27 million luxury resort Camp Cedar is open and taking reservations

After months of delays, Kings Island's luxury resort and campsite is open.
The amusement park posted on social media that as of Thursday, Camp Cedar is open and taking reservations.
The $27 million resort was initially slated to open on June 14 and had even begun booking reservations before the opening date was then pushed back to June 24. It was then delayed again to an unspecified date before Thursday's announcement.

Camp Cedar officials previously said a combination of unfavorable weather and labor and material shortages caused the delay.
The campsite and resort offers cottages and RV sites at various price points, according to the Camp Cedar website. The cottages vary in sizes and amenities and can up to four or eight people, depending on the model.
A Kings Island spokesperson said the Camp Cedar guest services team has contacted those with affected reservations and provided them with either a full refund or a rescheduled visit.
Anyone with questions about their reservation can contact Camp Cedar by emailing info@visitcampcedar.com, online chat at visitcampcedar.com/contact-us, or by phone at 513-701-9635.
