School gave best wishes to their alumni going to Tokyo Olympics

AMRITSAR: The management of the local Spring Dale Senior School gave best wishes and offered prayers for their two alumni Dilpreet Singh and Shamsher Singh who,as part of Indian hockey team, are on their way to Tokyo to participate Tokyo Olympic 2021.

School principal, Rajiv Kumar Sharma told media persons on Thursday that Dilpreet and Shamsher were pass out of the year 2014 and 2010 respectively.

He said both the players were a part of a number of batches of the budding hockey players who brought laurels to the School.


On the occasion, Spring Dale Educational Society's chairman Sahiljit Singh Sandhu informed that the school had set up Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Academy being run by Olympian Balwinder Singh Shammi and the motive of the association was to identify and nurture the talented sportspersons in the border belt side by side promoting the national game.



Spring Dale Educational Society's director, Dr. Kirat Sandhu Cheema said that the association of the two like-minded associations had produced many ace hockey players in the recent past including Olympian Ramandeep who represented India in Rio Olympics 2016.
