Taapsee Pannu turns Producer, launches ‘Outsiders Films’
Taapsee Pannu with her choice of films has made her a special place in the industry. Today, she is one of the most bankable actresses in the industry who is rising high and higher with every new film of hers. The actress has now decided to don another hat in her career as she turns a producer. The actress has launched her production house named ‘Outsider Films’.
Sharing the logo and name of her production house, she wrote, “Last year when it was almost a decade since I plunged into the dream this Indian Film Industry is, I never knew I will not just float but actually learn to swim my way through. For someone who never dreamt of bringing a public figure, I am forever grateful to everyone who has bestowed so much love and trust in me and my work. Time for some payback, because with great power comes greater responsibility. So wish me luck and I promise to try my best to bring the best, coz the view is the best from the ‘outside’. Writing a new chapter of life, now as a producer with the ‘Outsiders Films’.”
Taapsee has joined hands with Pranjal Khandhdiya (involved in the production of #Super30, #83THE FILM, #Soorma, #Piku, #Mubarakan). She is amongst the most loved outsiders these days in the industry and is all geared up with her Production House’s first film. The production house’s first film will be a thriller starring her in the lead.
On the work front, she will be seen in ‘Rashmi Rocket’ which is a sports drama directed by Akash Khurana. She will also be seen in Shabaash Mithu which is directed by Rahul Dholakia. It is a biopic based on the life of Mithali Raj.
She will also be seen in ‘Loop Lapeta’ which is an Indian adaptation of Tom Tykwer’s 1998 German hit ‘Run Lola Run’. The film is a story of a woman who needs to obtain 100000 Deutschmarks in 20 minutes to save her boyfriend’s life. Tahir Raj Bhasin will be seen alongside her in the film. The film is directed by Aakash Bhatia and produced by Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Aayush Maheshwari.
She is also a part of Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Dobaaraa’ and an untitled Tamil film that is being directed by Deepak Sundarrajan.
