Ranchi, Jul 15 (UNI) The Jharkhand High Court on Thursday expressed its dissatisfaction over how a Special Investigation Team was conducting the probe into the black marketing of Redmesivir injections in the state.
The court of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad said that the court is dissatisfied with the probe made so far as they had handed over the case to the SIT as they wanted a professional probe.
The court said that when in the case name of an SP emerged then he was made a witness and given clean chit. The court went on to add that in course of the investigation such loopholes are being left in the case so that the culprits can get their benefits in the lower court.
Head of SIT Anil Palta and CID ADG Prashant Kumar were present in the court. The head of the SIT said that in this case role of a private hospital and SP was probed and it emerged that the SP had not brought the Redmesivir with wrong intentions as he wanted to save somebody's life.
Over this, the court said that when the SP used the government vehicle and other facilities then why not it should be considered that he was shielding those involved in black marketing of the injections.
The court said that even though he had got the vaccines to save someone's life then he should have informed the seniors and should have taken appropriate action against those involved in its black marketing.
The court asked the concerned to table the progress report in the next hearing which was scheduled after two weeks.
