Chicago police officer dies by apparent suicide
Chicago Police are mourning the loss of a young police officer who died by apparent suicide and was found in a personal vehicle behind an elementary school on the city's Southwest Side.
Anne Arundel County police charged a Baltimore police officer with murder and child abuse in the death of his 15-year-old stepson in Curtis Bay. Dasan James Edward "D.J." Jones' body was found on July 6 at the home of his stepfather, Eric Glen Banks Jr., during a search. Court papers reveal a mother's intuition led to the discovery of her unresponsive son inside her estranged husband's home. Initially, police said Banks told officers D.J. left the house, leaving his belongings behind. As officers checked the house, they found D.J. unresponsive hidden away in an upstairs attic crawlspace, police said.

Senior Chinese diplomat Wang Yi urged Pakistan to investigate a blast on a bus that killed 13 people, including nine Chinese workers, but stopped short of calling it an attack, according to a post on Thursday on the foreign ministry's website.
