Liz Cheney told Jim Jordan he was responsible for Jan. 6 Capitol riot, according to book
During the developing riot Jan. 6 on the Capitol, Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney confronted Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan and told him he was responsible for the incident, according to a CNN report.
In “I Alone Can Fix It,” Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker reported on a phone call between Cheney and Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, where the Wyoming Republican described a confrontation she had with Jordan during the riot, the network reported.

Jan. 6 Capitol riot:'Reichstag moment': Joint Chiefs chairman feared Trump was laying groundwork for coup
"That f------ guy Jim Jordan. ... While these maniacs are going through the place, I’m standing in the aisle and he said, ‘We need to get the ladies away from the aisle. Let me help you.’ I smacked his hand away and told him, ‘Get away from me. You f------ did this,’” Cheney reportedly told the general.
Jordan has been an outspoken supporter of former President Trump, whose supporters stormed the Capitol in an effort to delay the certification of Congress of President Biden's election win.
Earlier this year, Cheney, a critic of Trump, lost her House GOP leadership position, but was chosen by Pelosi to take part in a select committee investigating the riots.
According to a report in The Hill, Leonnig and Rucker said top generals were afraid of a coup after the election by Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was concerned Trump would launch nuclear weapons before he left office.
