On the heels of the much-awaited Tokyo Olympics, starting in a week from July 23, Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza shared her excitement for the games flaunting her Olympic kit with a little dance in a video on Instagram with a message.
The top athletes have been sharing their excitement for the games on social media with their fans. The six-time Grand Slam champion Sania took to Instgram grooving on American rapper Doja Cat's latest hit song 'Kiss Me More'.
She captioned the video saying, "The 'A' in my name stands for soooo much in my life." She explained in the video that 'A' means - "Aggression, Ambition, Achieve and Affection."
The video soon went viral and till now has received over 1.2 Lakh likes and many fans commented on the video wishing her best for the upcoming games.
Sania, who will feature in the doubles event in the Olympic Games with Ankita Raina also interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday where he, along with the Sports Minitser Anurag Thakur and IOA chief Narinder Batra met 15 of the 126 athletes in a virtual meet.
PM Modi praised her for her efforts in the sport for the country over the years and also asked her about the efforts which it takes to be an ultimate champion in tennis.
Sania replied saying, "Now, young children believe they can become big players in tennis. They need hard work, support and dedication. Destiny plays a role but nothing will happen without hard work and talent."
