Tyson Fury SLAMMED by boxing fans for posing for photos in public Las Vegas locations less than a WEEK after testing positive for coronavirus that forced a delay to his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder

  • Tyson Fury's Las Vegas fight with Deontay Wilder was postponed on July 8
  • It was confirmed that day that Fury had tested positive for coronavirus
  • The Gypsy King was spotted in two public Las Vegas locations on Wednesday
  • Fans fumed on social media on Thursday claiming Fury should been in isolation
  • Tyson Fury has been criticised for posing with fans in several public Las Vegas locations despite testing positive for coronavirus last week.

The Gypsy King was forced to delay his trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder, scheduled for July 24, because a Covid-19 outbreak appeared from within his camp, with the 32-year-old also being diagnosed with the illness.

The fight was called off on July 8 when the outbreak was confirmed, but Fury was seen less than a week later at Royal Exotic Cars Shop in Vegas, then a casino on Wednesday. It is not know when Fury first tested positive for the virus.

Some boxing fans claim Fury should be self-isolating after testing positive for coronavirus just a week before, with many taking to social media to vent their anger.

One tweeted: 'Covid positive Tyson Fury out and about car shopping in Vegas? What in the hell is going on.'

Another said: 'First Tyson Fury can’t fight AJ because of the Wilder arbitration stating he had to have the third fight with him. Then Fury couldn’t fight Wilder because of a positive COVID testing. Yet yesterday he was car shopping. Maybe Fury just doesn’t want to fight anymore?'

Another claimed: 'So when your famous you don’t have to quarantine with covid? Good to know..'

Meanwhile, one fan posted: 'Tyson Fury is a fraud don’t buy the COVID, it’s smoke and mirrors, he’s out in public shouldn’t he be quarantine or social distancing in public. These 3 heavyweights are becoming boring it could be good, If Usyk beats Joshua then goes on to become Undisputed Heavyweight Champion'

Fury's fight with Wilder is set to be rearranged for October, while the Gypsy King's place in the July 24 bout could be taken up by Dillian Whyte, confirmed Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.

The Morecambe-boxer has been left 'really frustrated' by the postponement, according to one of his promoters, Frank Warren.

'Unfortunately, they in the camp and himself got tested positive for Covid,' Warren told BT Sport.

'There's nothing we can do about it. It's the times we live in, so the fight is postponed. Pushed back.

'Very frustrating. Really frustrating for Tyson. By the time he gets into the ring, he will have been out for nearly 20 months. That's a long, long time.'

Meanwhile, Fury's other promoter Bob Arum confirmed that the 32-year-old rejected a second coronavirus vaccine when he was eligible to get one, as he did not want to get any after-sickness so close to the fight.

'He got vaccinated in Miami. He got the first shot,' Arum explained to Boxing Scene. 'And then he said he didn't wanna get the second shot because he didn't wanna get sick [from the vaccination] so close to the fight. So, he got Covid instead.

'I knew he had one shot, and I was hoping it was Johnson & Johnson. But it wasn't. It was Moderna.'

Wilder, meanwhile, reacted with anger to Fury's coronavirus diagnosis, telling his manager Shelly Finkel: 'Again now, he did wrong and I'm the one being penalised.'
