The Yankees won four of their last six games prior to the All-Star Game, but entered the break on a sour note after blowing a five-run lead in the ninth inning on Sunday at Houston.

They will look to start the second half on a winning note against the Red Sox, starting Thursday against Boston starter Eduardo Rodriguez, who has allowed at least three runs in nine of his past 11 starts. Opponents are hitting .306 off him in road starts, and in 10 career starts at Yankee Stadium, has a 2-4 record with 1.4 home runs and 4.4 walks per nine innings.

The Yankees have allowed at least four runs in 13 of their past 16 home games, and the bullpen has a 5.34 ERA in the month of July.

The Red Sox are 6-0 this season against the Yankees, scoring at least four runs in every game and five runs or more in five of the six games. They have allowed at least four runs in six straight games.

Just one of Rodriguez’s past nine starts have gone under the total, and the over is 19-12-1 in the Yankees’ past 32 games, so another high-scoring game in The Bronx will open the second half of the season.

The Play: Red Sox vs. Yankees, Over 10 runs.
