Police team investigating crime scene

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): The Sehore district, barely 30km from the state capital, woke up to a tragedy on Thursday morning when the residents of a hamlet saw three women lying in a pool of blood.

The crime was committed in a house built in a farmland in Kodiachhinu village under Mandi police station of the district.

Additional superintendent of police Sameer Yadav told Free Press that the women had been identified as Chinta Bai (50), Poonam (26) and Ayodhya Bai (45).

All of them lived in the house built in the farmland, Yadav said.

Chinta Bai, the third wife of Anokhilal Malviya, was living with her daughter Poonam and sister Chinta Bai.

Chinta Bai had a fight with Anokhilal’s second wife Gokul Bai and son Narendra on Thursday morning.

After the incident, Narendra went missing. On the other hand, the Malviya family informed the Mandi police at 3pm on the day of the murder that three women had been lying in a pool of blood near their house.

On getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.

The police said that they had begun to inquire into the incident and that a family dispute may have been the reason behind the incident.

Locals suspect the hand of Narendra in the murders.
