    Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

    Synopsis

    SVP Global, South West Pinnacle, Indbank Merc, Sumit Woods and Kaya, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

    Agarwal said the global economy is showing clear signs of recovery. The second wave of Covid-19 is ebbing in India with total active cases at less than 20 per cent of May highs.
    NEW DELHI: Shares of SVP Global, South West Pinnacle, Indbank Merc, Sumit Woods and Kaya, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 41.6 points up at 15853.95 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

    However, stocks such as Walpar Nutritions Ltd. and SKS Textiles, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

    Overall, 22 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 27 closed in the red.

    In the Nifty 50 index, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Infosys and L&T were among top gainers during the day, while UPL, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports SEZ, HUL and Nestle India ended in the red.

    The BSE Sensex closed 134.32 points up at 52904.05.

    Traders piled up positions in Diversified, Industrial Equipment, IT Software, Metals - Ferrous and Miscellaneous sectors, while selling was witnessed in Plastics, Gems and Jewellery, Chemicals, IT - Hardware and Sugar sectors during the day.
