Murder charges for Vic drive-by shooting
Two men have been charged with the murder of a father of five in a drive-by shooting linked to bikies outside a Melbourne pool hall.
Ikenasio Tuivasa, 33, was outside the All Star Lounge at Ravenhall in Melbourne's west when he was shot dead just before midnight on February 27.
Mr Tuivasa was in a group that included his two younger brothers, cousins and friends outside the venue when a Toyota Hilux SR5 ute pulled up nearby and fired at them.
A 24-year-old man from Endeavour Hills also suffered serious injuries in the shooting.
In May, police said Mr Tuivasa, known as Sio, might have been an innocent victim of a feud between bikies.
Detective Inspector Tim Day said police knew the pool hall was frequented by Hells Angels and Comanchero members and believed there had been an altercation at the same venue the night before.
More than four months after the shooting, a Hoppers Crossing man and Cairnlea man have been arrested and charged with murder and intentionally causing serious injury.
Five properties in Cairnlea, Hoppers Crossing, Sunshine West, Weir Views and Robinvale were also raided by police as part of their investigation.
"The indiscriminate use of illicit firearms remains a key focus for Victoria Police and we are committed to holding those involved in this type of offending to account," Assistant Commissioner Bob Hill said in a statement.
The men, both aged 26, will face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.
