Mangalore University vice-chancellor P S Yadapadithaya, giving out details about the strategy, stressed that the objective is to help students to complete writing their examinations, especially those in the final year. According to current plan, university will ensure holding pending undergraduate exams soon after reopening of colleges. A meeting in this regard was held on Monday with principals of all colleges under Mangalore University. They have given their consent for the same.

Conducting undergraduate examinations will be difficult for those who cannot travel back to campus. The VC said that a majority of students from outside the state are from Kerala. “We will adopt the model which was followed in the previous academic year. We will have an agreement with universities from other states and countries, to allow their campuses to write the examination, which will prevent students from travelling. It had worked well last time, without any glitches,” said Yadapadithaya.

A notice will be given to all students 10 days prior to conducting pending UG examinations, and online classes will be suspended. Meanwhile, MU is also planning to hold UG examination paper evaluation during those 10 days.

As per the plans, PG examinations will be conducted soon after commencement of regular classes.
