MU decides to conduct pending UG, PG exams soon after reopening of colleges

The government has plans to reopen colleges starting after July 19 depending on vaccination coverage. The undergraduate examinations of first, third and fifth semesters, which are 70% completed, were postponed due to the KSRTC strike and pandemic induced lockdown. The postgraduate examinations that were scheduled, were never held.Online classes for even semester undergraduate and postgraduate courses have already commenced.
Conducting undergraduate examinations will be difficult for those who cannot travel back to campus. The VC said that a majority of students from outside the state are from Kerala. “We will adopt the model which was followed in the previous academic year. We will have an agreement with universities from other states and countries, to allow their campuses to write the examination, which will prevent students from travelling. It had worked well last time, without any glitches,” said Yadapadithaya.
A notice will be given to all students 10 days prior to conducting pending UG examinations, and online classes will be suspended. Meanwhile, MU is also planning to hold UG examination paper evaluation during those 10 days.
As per the plans, PG examinations will be conducted soon after commencement of regular classes.
