Seizure of Goa made foreign liquors, vehicle total valued Rs 42.94 lakh in Ratnagiri

Kolhapur / Ratnagiri, Jul 13 (UNI) Prohibition and excise department(PED) today seized Goa made foreign liquors and a truck in raid with total valued Rs 42.94 lakh at Insuli check post Naka in Ratnagiri district.
According to Ratnagiri PED, on a tip, PAID officials laid a trap at Insuli check post Naka, with the help of Ratnagiri rural police and with suspicious, stopped a truck. After searched, PED officials and police found total 24,000 bottles of Goa made foreign liquors in 500 boxes , which valued Rs 33.66 lakh. The boxes put on a specially designed compartment in rear side of the truck, which also seized with total valued Rs including liquors and truck as Rs 42.94 lakh.
PED officials arrested two persons, residents of Indore in Madhya Pradesh and investigating further.
