Australia consults on Expectations for telecom operators dealing with vulnerable consumers

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has launched consultations on a proposed Statement of Expectations for the industry. The initiative seeks to improve the way the telecommunications sector supports consumers in vulnerable circumstances, the ACMA said. The Statement of Expectations covers key aspects of customer interactions, from selling practices and customer service, to the provision of financial hardship support.
