CHENNAI:
Greater Chennai Corporation commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi has shuffled the portfolios of the five chief engineers of the civic body.
N Mahesan, who is the chief engineer of solid waste management, will now be in charge of mechanical department, as well.
L Nandakumar, the chief engineer (general), will be in charge of storm water drain and disaster management, general engineering coordination, Singara Chennai 2.0, all government announcements and Chennai River Restoration Trust (CRRT).

Rajendran, chief engineer (bridges), will be in charge of bridges, bus route and interior roads and special projects and smart City schemes.

Kalimuthu, chief engineer (parks), will be in charge of buildings, parks and playfields, burial grounds, toilets and quality control department.
P Duraisamy, chief engineer (planning), will be looking after electrical, IT cell,
GIS,
Integrated Command and Control Centre and town planning.
