Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: JP Power (numbers of share traded: 7.67 crore), Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 5.37 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 4.78 crore), Vikas Multicorp (numbers of share traded: 4.78 crore), Vikas Ecotech (numbers of share traded: 4.16 crore), JM Financial (numbers of share traded: 4.13 crore), NMDC (numbers of share traded: 3.85 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 3.69 crore), Bank of Baroda (numbers of share traded: 3.49 crore) and Wipro (numbers of share traded: 2.93 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 41.6 points up at 15853.95, while BSE Sensex ended up 134.32 points at 52904.05.

On the other hand, UPL Ltd. (down 1.47 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 1.39 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (down 0.96 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (down 0.90 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd. (down 0.86 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
