The commonly used phrases people can't stand have been revealed in a fiery thread kick started by 'The Organised Housewife' who said she hates hearing people tell her that 'everything happens for a reason'.
She wasn't the only person to feel rage at the statement with one woman demanding what the reason for childhood cancer could possibly be and another slamming the phrase as cruel.
But more commonly used sentences were shared by Australian mums, revealing a whole list of phrases detested by many.

The commonly used phrases people can't stand have been revealed in a fiery thread kick started by 'the organised housewife' who said she hates hearing 'everything happens for a reason'
'My kids never **insert safety precautions most people take*** AND THEY SURVIVED,' one woman ranted.
'That's great Phil, I'm glad your kids survived, but thousands didn't, so we're changing things up a bit,' she added.
Others said they hate 'bonus points'.
'When people want to know something and want to give 'bonus points' for extra info. What bonus points? will I get a car? money?' one woman said.
And others agreed.
'I always wonder where the points go, I've never seen my tally,' one laughed.
The phrase 'you are overthinking it' appeared to be a trigger for many.
'Of course I am. I have anxiety. It's what I do. You pointing it out doesn't bloody help,' one woman said.
And sometimes people say the very wrong thing when people die, according to the comments.
'When someone dies people say, sure he was a good age or at least they are out of pain. Makes me sick I hate it doesn't matter what age or sickness it's horrible when people say the above,' a mum said.
And mentioning God didn't appear to be a comfort for everyone.
'God wouldn't of given you more then you can handle, first I don't believe in God and second I am allowing bad crying days when dealing with three autistic spectrum disorder kids, an autistic spectrum disorder partner and life,' one mum said.
Others referred to 'toxic positivity' when mentioning their most hated phrases.
''You've got this!' to people going through a hard time. It's such a sweeping statement. Instead of just throwing out a phrase, in some situations it might be worth asking the person how they feel, or if there is anything one can do to practically help with,' one mum said.
''Think positive.' Makes me see red. I think it is the single most negative thing to say to anyone,' slammed another.
''Money doesn't buy you happiness,' or 'just be positive.' 99 of my problems could be solved with money, and I'll be as negative to a situation that effects me as I want to be. Get out of my face with that toxic positivity,' added another.
Others said they hate when they hear acronyms like LOL said out loud, as well as people misusing words in sentences.
'You do you', 'It's all for the best' and 'I need you to give me 110% here' were also commonly hated phrases.
