When Abhishek Bachchan revealed how wife Aishwarya Rai and mom Jaya Bachchan gang up against him

Aishwarya Rai and Jaya Bachchan are one of the most admired saas-bahu jodi we have in Bollywood. While Aishwarya has always been respectful towards Jaya, the veteran actress has publicly praised her daughter-in-law for having “great values”. Today, we decided to revisit a throwback interview from the year 2015 when Abhishek had narrated a fun instance from the Bachchan household on how mom Jaya Bachchan enjoys ganging up against him, every time he faces a difference of opinion with Aishwarya. Turns out Jaya sides Aishwarya and plays the 'Bengali language' card on him to pull his leg. Abhishek said, 'Ma and Ash gang up against me and they keep rattling on in Bengali. (Laughs) Mom knows the language because she is Bengali and Aishwarya had worked with Rituda (the late Rituparno Ghosh) in Chokher Bali, so she also can speak the language quite well. So whenever they have to team up against me, they start talking in Bengali.' Well, Jaya has also gifted Aishwarya a priceless piece of jwellery that the actress holds really close to her heart. Aishwarya had mentioned about the same in a TOI interview, back in 2013. She had told, 'I enjoy jewellery a lot. But the most treasured are the very simple pieces, which include my wedding ring, a Manglorean style bangle and my mother-in-law’s loha, which I cherish.' The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law have also shared the same saree at a couple of occasions, proving how close they are. Aishwarya and Abhishek both are active on social media and often treat their fans with some adorable pictures of their family and loved ones. Their daughter Aaradhya also often features in most of their social media posts. On the work front, Abhishek will next be seen in ‘Bob Biswas’ co-starring Chitrangada Singh. The movie will be a spin-off of a character by the same name in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’. The film starred Vidya Balan in the lead role. Aishwarya, on the other hand, will be reuniting with Mani Ratnam for ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
