Bed Bath & Beyond to make curbside pickup orders available even before stores open

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. BBBY, +1.14% said Wednesday that it will make orders designated for curbside pickup available starting as early as 8am, an hour before most stores open. The home goods retailer said the new program is "ideal for orders placed the previous evening and pickup during the morning commute to work." All other orders placed via buy online pickup in store or for curbside pickup will be available within an hour, down from the previous two-hour window. And the company is nearly doubling the number of zip codes where same-day delivery will be available through a partnership with Roadie. The company also has partnerships with DoorDash and Shipt for same-day delivery. Bed Bath & Beyond shares have rallied 65.3% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index SPX, +0.39% has gained 16.3% for the period.
