Katy Perry was delighting in the news that Celebrating America was nominated for the Variety Sketch Series Emmy Award on Tuesday.
The Firework hitmaker's performance at Joe Biden's January inauguration was featured in the TV special and alongside a series of stunning snaps on Instagram she penned: 'So happy to have played a small part in a big and BRIGHT night'.
Following news of the nod, Katy, 36, was spotted out in LA with her pet pooch Nugget as she wrapped up in an Adidas hoodie with a baseball cap.

The images appeared to be taken on the day of the inauguration as she stood on the same backdrop as her snaps from the same day.

She put on a radiant display in an all-white ensemble, which she accessorized with a pair of earrings from Rahaminov Diamonds and Jimmy Choo Rene pumps.
