Springbok star Cheslin Kolbe says it won't take much to trigger the South Africans into action when they face the British and Irish Lions in the guise of the SA 'A' team in Cape Town on Wednesday.
Kolbe has not played competitive action for his country since scoring the second, dagger try against England at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
The mercurial Toulouse utility back will start at right wing against Warren Gatland's Lions, facing up against red hot Welsh left-wing Josh Adams.
"It doesn't take a lot to get any Springbok player up. You know you have a responsibility once you pull that jersey over your head," said Kolbe.
"You don't just represent yourself or the guys around you. You have 57 million people that watch the Springboks play ... there's a lot of responsibility in that.
"I can guarantee that whenever we pull over that jersey, we give everything, and we leave it all out on the field.
"I'm sure the boys are excited to get up and fire again."
Kolbe was stupendous for his French club Toulouse, whom he guided to an illustrious Top 14 and Heineken Champions Cup double last season.
He scored a 50m drop-goal to clinch the Top 14 final against adversaries La Rochelle, whom they also beat in the European Cup final.
"It was definitely a great season with Toulouse, but my focus has shifted now to being part of the Springbok setup," he said.
"I'm definitely excited after a long layoff after the World Cup final. I'm fortunate, mostly, to be part of this team again and get the opportunity to put on that jersey."
