Thane city reports 60 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths

THANE: For the fifth day in a row, Thane city continues to report new Covid-19 cases below 100.
On Tuesday, the city reported 60 new positive cases, taking the overall tally to 1,34,529.
112 patients were also discharged during the day. Till date, 1,31,586 people have recovered.
However, three people with co-morbidities also died.
Active cases in the city now stand at 900.
While the recovery rate is 97.81 per cent, the doubling rate is 1,278.
Among the new cases, 16 tested positive in Kalwa, followed by 13 in Majiwada-Manpada, 12 in Vartak Nagar, seven in Uthalsar, four in Lokmanya-Savarkar Nagar, three in Wagale, two each in Naupada-Kopri and Diva, and one in Mumbra.
