India adds only 2 million mobile subscribers in April

India ended April with 1.203 billion telecom service subscribers, which represents an increase of 2.28 million from the previous month, according to a report from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). This compares to an addition of 13.30 million customers in March. The April growth was nearly entirely in mobile subscribers, which rose by 2.16 million to 1.183 billion in April, while the number of fixed-line subscribers increased by around 120,000 to 20.36 million.
