In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 15,796 (up 0.6%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include ICICI BANK (up 2.7%), SUN PHARMA (up 2.5%) and AXIS BANK (up 2.3%). Other gainers include NTPC (up 2.2%) and HDFC (up 1.8%).
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,738 to 52,718, registering a gain of 15,980 points (up 43.5%).
TORRENT PHARMA net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended March 2021, compared to a profit of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 2.9% to Rs 19.4 billion during the period as against Rs 20.0 billion in January-March 2020.
For the year ended March 2020, TORRENT PHARMA reported 134.9% increase in net profit to Rs 10.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.4 billion during FY19.
Revenue of the company grew 3.5% to Rs 79 billion during FY20.
The current Price to earnings ratio of TORRENT PHARMA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 40.8x.
