HYDERABAD: Infrastructure and initiatives like virtual pharmacy, plays a key role in imparting technical education, according to Navin Mittal, commissioner of Technical Education, Telangana.


On Monday, he inaugurated Sarojini Naidu Vanita Pharmacy Maha Vidyalaya and this virtual pharmacy is first of its kind in India, that improves the employability of graduating students.

Dr V Prabha Shankar, secretary of All India Industrial Exhibition (AIIE) Society and also chairman of this virtual pharmacy, said this virtual Pharmacy contains the outer cartons of all medicines, cosmetics and nutraceuticals exactly similar to medical shops, but without the medicines inside cartons.

“Virtual pharmacy enables an offsite pharmacy student to provide real time order verification and consultation, and gives hands-on experience to the students,” he explained.
N Vinay Kumar, vice president, Exhibition Society, said that the State-of-art facilities in Virtual Pharmacy for the purpose of improving practical exposure to the students.
