Award-winning author, comedian and chat-show host Graham Norton was one of the star attractions at the West Cork Literary Festival yesterday where he discussed his third and latest novel Home Stretch with crime writer Liz Nugent on the final day of outdoor events at Bantry House.

The Bandon native is spending the summer at his nearby holiday home in Ahakista near Bantry where he is broadcasting his Virgin Radio weekend shows live from Cork.

Ms Nugent meanwhile tweeted, “What a privilege and a pleasure it was to interview @grahnort today for @wcorklitfest. A gentleman and a scholar, as my Dad used to say about smart men with manners.”

The multi-Bafta award-winning presenter became an instant best-selling writer with his previous novels Holding which won the Irish Book Award for popular fiction and A Keeper which was shortlisted for both the Specsavers popular fiction award and the Irish Book Award for popular fiction.
