HYDERABAD: As part of operation Muskan, the police rescued 20 children who were working at various commercial establishments in
Uppal and
Maheshwaram areas in Hyderabad.
Cases were booked against the errant employers.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Rachakonda Police along with the child protection unit jointly conducted the rescue operation at a Pharma company in Devender Nagar Colony,
IDA Uppal and rescued 10 child workers, including four girls.
The rescued children are from Telangana, Uttar Pradesh,
Naharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
They were working at a sanitizer packing unit for over nine hours a day for Rs 200 as daily wages.
A case was registered against company's managing partner, G G Mallikarjuna Rao of
Musheerabad under sections 370(5), 374 of the IPC & Section 79 of the JJ Act and Section 14(1) of CLA.
Another joint team rescued 10 boys who were working at bike repair shops, fast food centres and bakeries.
