THANE: With no relief from the skyrocketing fuel prices, the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) on Tuesday protested against the BJP-led government in a rather unusual manner.
Instead of just carrying placards and raising slogans, several party workers gathered at the Teen petrol pump in the city along with a dummy boat.
The boat also featured a message that read, "Don't get washed away in BJP jumla rains."
The workers also protested against the rise in the price of LPG cylinders.
However, social distancing and Covid-19 norms were flouted during the protest. Most of the protesters were seen with their masks hanging down their chins.

The Congress party has been protesting against the rising fuel prices across the state for the last seven days.
As of Tuesday, the retail price of both petrol and diesel in Mumbai stands at Rs 107.20 per litre and Rs 97.29 per litre respectively.
In some areas, diesel has also inched closer to Rs 100 per litre.
