NPCC demonstrates against motor fuel hike

Kohima, Jul 12 (UNI) Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee's (NPCC) protest against the rise in prices of essential commodities and fuel entered its sixth day on Monday.
The protestors carried out ‘Cycle Yatra’ in the heart of Dimapur town from 0930 to 1030 hrs today.

According to a release issued by the Communication Department of NPCC, keeping in view the COVID-19 lockdown guidelines, 12 cyclists took part in the Cycle Yatra, which was led by PCC President K Therie seated in a cycle rickshaw followed by other volunteers on foot in a symbolic show of protest.
'The route taken for Cycle Yatra was in Dimapur. The ‘Day Six’ of Nagaland Protests by NPCC was PCC office bearers, Dimapur DCC, NSUI Nagaland, AIPC Nagaland and NPCC Minority Dept took part in this Cycle Yatra,' it read.

In the state Capital Kohima DCC and its frontal organisations, together with PCC office bearers continued its mass signature campaign at all retail fuel stations across the capital town. Similarly, Signature campaigns were conducted at Mokokchung and Tuensang by respective District Congress Committees (DCC) and we had generated immense response from the public. The signature campaigns will continue till July 15 next, the release said.
