MUMBAI: The Maharashtra government on Tuesday unveiled its new electric vehicle (EV) policy. The new policy was released by Additional Chief Secretary (Transport), and state environment minister Aaditya Thackeray. During the press meet, Aaditya Thackeray was asked when will he change his car and take EV. In response, the Cabinet Minister said that the first important thing is to convert public transport into electric (vehicles) because the cost on the government will also reduce. He added that they will focus on public transport, two-wheelers, three-wheelers to convince the larger spectrum of the public. "Yes, the next buy definitely will be electric as soon as there is more availability in the market."
