ACM study finds well-functioning IP interconnection market, but scale effects growing

The IP interconnection market has expanded significantly in the Netherlands and worldwide, according to research by the regulator ACM. Since its last study in 2015, the volume of data exchange has roughly tripled, with the AMS-IX going from peak traffic of 3 Tbps to 9 Tbps. Overall the market in the Netherlands and Europe functions well, with economies of scale increasingly important, the ACM found.
