Mahindra & Magenta to launch end-to-end EV solutions in Bengaluru

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Magenta have announced their association for redefining last-mile deliveries using Mahindra Treo Zor electric cargo vehicles.

The Mahindra Group, founded in 1945, employs around 60,000 people from over 100 countries. It is a leader in utility vehicles, farm equipment, information technology, and financial services in India. It also has a presence in renewable energy, agriculture, logistics, real estate, and hospitality. While on the other hand, Magenta was founded in 2017 and is the fastest-growing Integrated EV Solutions company.

Under this agreement, Magenta is going to deploy hundreds of Mahindra Treo Zor electric three-wheelers across Bengaluru so that last mile delivery of both essential and non-essential goods is possible. Magenta’s new e-mobility Electric Vehicle Enabled Transport (EVET) platform is going to include Treo Zor for its delivery feet. This will help Mahindra to take a great stride in its last mile delivery vehicles. Magenta is going to launch a cargo and people transport service under EVET.

According to Mahesh Babu, CEO, Mahindra Electric Mobility, Mahindra Treo Zor is a great option for last-mile delivery across India. It has travelled some 1.82 million km on the Indian roads. It has been able to attract many new-age start-ups using its connected EV technology. It has an attractive customer value proposition and environmental benefits.  He also said that the company is excited to transform the last mile deliveries in more cities with Magenta.

As per Maxson Lewis, MD, Magenta, using Made In India solutions, Magenta is committed to solve EV-related challenges. He also said that the company has actually come in contact with the users to know their pain points related to EVs. The company is well placed to provide solutions related to EV charging hardware and software and EV charging services.

As per the data, Mahindra Treo Zor was launched in October 2020, and has crossed a sales milestone of more than 1300 vehicles and has been recognised as the number one small commercial vehicle in India. It has an excellent power of 8kW and torque of 42Nm due to which it is able to deliver impressive performance. It allows higher savings of more than Rs. 60,000 per year. It has an advanced Lithium-ion battery and is available in three variants naming Delivery Van, Pickup & Flatbed variants. The users can enjoy a safe & stable ride with the longest-in-industry wheelbase of 2216 mm. It has a stylish dual-tone and allows a fatigue-free driving experience. Treo Zor comes with a standard warranty of 3 years per 80,000 km.
