The BSE Sensex is at 52,701 . The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.5%), ICICI BANK (up 0.9%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (up 0.9%). Other gainers include ONGC (up 0.8%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 0.8%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and NTPC.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 15,789 (up 0.1%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.4%), JSW STEEL (up 1.9%) and SHREE CEMENT (up 1.9%). Other gainers include GRASIM (up 1.9%) and TATA CONSUMER (up 1.2%).
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,329 to 52,701, registering a gain of 16,372 points (up 44.2%).
TATA CONSUMER net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended March 2021, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 1.1% to Rs 30.4 billion during the period as against Rs 30.7 billion in January-March 2020.
For the year ended March 2021, TATA CONSUMER reported 85.7% increase in net profit to Rs 9.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.4 billion during FY20.
Revenue of the company grew 20.4% to Rs 116 billion during FY21.
The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA CONSUMER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 72.0x.>
