Disclosing this here Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Vishesh Sarangal, who visited the plant site on Monday, said that the setting up of plant was guided by the Defence Research and Development Organisation and NHAI, which would have a capacity of 1000 LPM. The plant will prove to be a boon for COVID-19 and other critical patients since the Civil Hospital is all set to have self-sufficient on oxygen generation.
Taking stock of newly constructed plant site and machinery being installed therein, ADC (G) pointed out that the District Administration had ensured all requisite machinery and backup support including generators and manifold, which would maintain constant supply of oxygen. He said that installation of machinery in the plant was on the advanced stage of completion while the requisite power connections are being provided in a few days.
The ADC also pointed out that nearly a month back the construction of this new plant was commenced, which had been accomplished within stipulated time frame to facilitate the patients amid COVID pandemic. He said that an estimated expenditure of over Rs 1.40 crore would be incurred to make this plant functional.
Prominent amongst present on the occasion included Civil Surgeon Dr Ranjit Singh, ACS Dr. Pawan Kumar and SMO Dr. Jaswinder Singh.
