In previous years on MasterChef, both chefs competing in the grand finale would be filmed as winners of the competition to prevent the result being compromised.
The real winner would not be revealed until it was broadcast on television.
However, that reportedly wasn't done this year to avoid torturing the runner-up with hopes they had won.
The Australian reports that 'within a few hours of the end of the filming' Justin emerged as a favourite to win, leading to rumours of a leak, with claims the production is 'attempting to get to the bottom of the unusual betting activity.'

A Sportsbet spokesman confirmed to the paper that there had been 'a lot of cash coming for Justin'.
While a spokesman for Channel Ten told the publication: 'All will be revealed when the 2021 MasterChef Australia winner is crowned during the finale on Tuesday night.'
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Sportsbet and Channel Ten for further comment.

It comes as ratings for MasterChef Australia plummet, with 626,000 tuning in last week.
The show has struggled to maintain last year's huge numbers this season without the star power of returning contestants like Poh Ling Yeow.
MasterChef: Back to Win pulled in more than one million viewers a night last year.
