Jammu, Jul 12 (UNI) Days after two terrorists were killed in a fierce gun battle, Security Forces on Monday recovered the body of another terrorist reportedly injured in a similar encounter floating on a river in Daddal village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said that a body of a terrorist was seen floating in a rivulet in Daddal by a group of locals who informed police after which joint teams of police and army rushed to the spot.
The body was fished out, they said.
Confirming the recovery of the body, police further added that the locals were informed that the body of a man is floating on a river and is wearing a combat dress.
“The was found to be one of the terrorists who had got injured in an encounter in Daddar forest of Sunderbani area and later on died,” police added.
They said that he was in combat dress similar to the one which his other two associates were wearing while bullets were also recovered from his clothes.
“Searches in the area have been resumed,” police said.
On July 8, two Pakistani terrorists were killed and two soldiers were martyred in Sunderbani gunfight in Rajouri district after a search operation was launched based on information regarding infiltration and movement of terrorists in Dadal area of Sundarbani Sector, District Rajouri.
The Army had already launched extensive search operations from Jun 29, 2021.
“Two AK-47 Rifles and ammunition in heavy quantity were recovered from the terrorists,” he added.
