Realme started off as a smartphone brand but in the past couple of years, it is expanding to different product categories to become a true tech lifestyle brand. It has been teasing venturing into the notebook market since last month and as a result, tipsters have become active. The latest Realme Book leak is coming from OnLeaks in collaboration with an online publication GizNext.
The first Realme notebook has a design that will instantly remind you of the Apple MacBook Pro. This is not surprising as we have seen other OEMs release notebooks with MacBook-inspired designs. The company is said to looking at working professionals and students as its target audience. This is said to be the reason for keeping the notebook lightweight so that it is comfortable to carry around.
The Realme Book is tipped to sport a 14-inch display with minimal bezels. The aspect ratio appears to be different from the standard 16:9. The exact resolution and other panel specs are unknown but are speculated to offer 1080p support. The notebook measures 307 mm x 229 mm x 16 mm in dimensions with no words on the weight.
In terms of performance, it will come packed with 11th Gen Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors. There will be different RAM and SSD storage configuration options along with Microsoft Office and Windows 10 operating system. The connectivity options are said to include one USB Type-A port, two USB Type-C ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The power button will double up as a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication purposes.
Realme is expected to debut its first-ever notebook aka Realme Book towards the end of August i.e. next month. The pricing is tipped to be around INR 40,000 (around $535) for the base models.
