Actor Arjun Kapoor recently revealed that his half-sister, actress Janhvi Kapoor calls him 'Arjun bhaiyya' and he finds it very 'strange'.
Recently, during a Clubhouse session with The Bollywood Film Club, Arjun and moderator Aniruddha Guha spoke about Arjun and Janhvi's 'Koffee With Karan' episode.
Guha said that in the subtitles of the episode, 'Arjun bhaiyya' was translated to 'Brother Arjun'.
Reacting to it, Arjun said, "It sounds a bit religious also, Brother Arjun. The thing is, Arjun bhaiyya still sounds very strange to me, only because Anshula calls me bhai in a very strange way. Arjun bhaiyya is a very new thing. So, when Janhvi says that, it still feels very, very new to me, actually."
"I think it just comes very naturally to Janhvi to call me Arjun bhaiyya because I have never even told her that you should call me this or call me that," the 'Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar' actor added.
Arjun Kapoor is the son of producer Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona Shourie. Mona was married to Boney from 1983 to 1996 and had two children - Arjun and Anshula. She passed away due to multiple organ failure after battling with cancer and hypertension on 25 March, 2012.
The producer later married legendary actress Sridevi. Together, they had two daughters Janhvi and Khushi.
Sridevi passed away in 2018, in Dubai where she was attending a family wedding. The 54-year-old actor died of accidental drowning in her hotel room’s bathtub.
After Sridevi's demise, Arjun and Anshula connected with their half-siblings and the family is often seen making public appearances together.
