Lucknow: UP ATS arrests two Al-Qaeda terrorists plotting major attack, explosives recovered

Two Al Qaeda terrorists have been arrested in a search operation by ATS in the Kakori police station area of ​​the capital Lucknow. Suspected terrorists were planning to carry out a big attack in two-three days. The ATS has cordoned off the entire area.

UP ATS has been running a search operation for about 7 hours in the Dubagga area of ​​Kakori police station area of ​​Lucknow. Commandos are searching three houses. A large quantity of ammunition is also reported to have been recovered. These also include cooker and timer bombs.

According to media reports, UP ATS on Monday raided and arrested a suspect. On his behest, the ATS team again raided the house of Siraj, Riyaz and Shahid alias Guddu in Dubagga on Sunday morning. During the raid, Shahid alias Guddu and Wasim were arrested from the colony and interrogated later. After this, a youth named Wasim has been arrested. According to the information, Shahid lives with his family in Sita Vihar Colony of Dubagga.

The detained terrorists are connected to the AQIS module operating on the Jammu and Kashmir border. A few days ago, information about terrorists hiding in Lucknow was received in a blast in Jammu.

ATS IG Dr. GK Goswami told that bombs and arms have also been found in this operation of ATS. The terrorists are being interrogated and our team is also investigating in some nearby houses. He said that it is feared that his associates have also made hideouts in nearby houses. He was earlier in sleeper cell, had reached Lucknow after being active in Kashmir for the past several days.
