Wimbledon 2021: Gordon Reid beaten in the wheelchair singles final

Britain's Gordon Reid lost to Belgium's Joachim Gerard in the Wimbledon men's wheelchair singles final.
Reid, who won the doubles title with Alfie Hewett on Saturday, lost 6-2 7-6 (7-2).
The Scot, 29, had trailed 4-1 in the second set before mounting a fightback to force a tie-break but Gerard was more consistent.
"It's a tough speech to make. Sometimes you have to say I lost to the better player," an emotional Reid said.
Reid had been chasing his second Wimbledon singles title after victory in 2016.
In the women's wheelchair singles final, Diede de Groot from the Netherlands beat South Africa's Kgothatso Montjane 6-2 6-2 to win her third Wimbledon title.
Her victory is also her 11th Grand Slam title and she holds the singles titles at all four Grand Slams simultaneously for the second time in her career.
"It really feels amazing. Wheelchair tennis was for the first time on Court One and we made it very special today," De Groot said in her on-court interview.
"That little bit of a break during Covid gave me that hunger back, you start to appreciate what you have and what you can do on a court like this, and I'm thankful and grateful I can be that player again."
Montjane was also the runner-up in the women's wheelchair doubles with Britain's Lucy Shuker.
