The highly-anticipated Wimbledon Final 2021 will take place between World No.1 and defending champion Novak Djokovic vs Italy’s Matteo Berrettini. He will be playing his 30th Grand Slam Final as he aims to win record equal 20th Grand Slam with Spanish Legend Rafael Nadal and Swiss Tennis Maestro Roger Federer. Djokovic will also be bidding for his 3rd straight grand slam title in 2021 after winning the Australian Open and French Open. Djokovic is chasing his 6th Wimbledon title and he is the favorite to win over Italian Matteo Berrettini to continue his dominance in men’s singles tennis.

“Every time I hear there is something on the line that is historic it inspires me but at the same time I have to balance it and win only the next match,” Djokovic said on Friday.

On the other hand, Matteo Berrettini defeated Huber Hurkacz in four sets battle to enter Wimbledon Final- His first Grand slam final. World number nine Berrettini is the first Italian to reach a Wimbledon single’s final. He will face either Novak Djokovic or Denis Shapovalov in Sunday’s final. Berrettini had earlier defeated the likes of Ivashka, Bedene, Van de Zandschulp, and G Pella during his first four rounds.

“I have no words,” Berrettini said in his on-court interview as quoted by Reuters. “I need, I think, couple of hours to understand what happened. I just know that I played a great match. I’m really happy. I’m really glad to be here,” he added.

“I think I never dreamed about this because it was too much for a dream.”
